Unity Rising Foundation is a community-focused nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals, families, and underserved communities through education, advocacy, support, and meaningful opportunities for growth. We believe lasting impact begins with inclusion, collaboration, and access to resources that help people thrive.
Unity Rising Foundation was created from a shared commitment to strengthen communities, support equitable opportunities, and help individuals build confidence, practical skills, and long-term success. What We Believe
Land Acknowledgement
At Unity Rising Foundation, we acknowledge the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7 in Southern Alberta, including the Blackfoot Confederacy—comprising the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai First Nations—as well as the Tsuut’ina First Nation and the Stoney Nakoda Nations. We also recognize Calgary, known as Moh’kinsstis in Blackfoot, as home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III.
We recognize the importance of honoring the histories, cultures, and ongoing contributions of Indigenous peoples and communities. We are grateful for the opportunity to live, work, gather, and grow on these lands.
We also acknowledge and celebrate the many African and Black communities who have made Calgary their home and continue to contribute to the strength, resilience, and diversity of this city. As an organization rooted in community, collaboration, and inclusion, Unity Rising Foundation remains committed to fostering equity, mutual respect, meaningful relationships, and a shared future where all communities can thrive together.
