Meet Halima Mohamud

Halima Mohamud is a Registered Social Worker with over 10 years of experience in community-based work, specializing in resettlement, integration, and frontline social services. She is committed to advancing equity, human rights, and gender empowerment, with a strong focus on supporting immigrant communities. This passion for community work led her to pursue and complete a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) from the University of Calgary.

Halima is also a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal and continues to give back through volunteerism and board service. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys traveling, being near the water, spending time in nature, and embracing her role as a mother.
